Studio IV - Project Two involved selecting a chef and researching their philosophy, biography, influences, recipes, and career journey, including their restaurants, ingredient sourcing, and unique processes. The research was then used to create a narrative and presented to the class. Based on that research a light fixture was designed inspired by the chef’s narrative, using any material and light source, avoiding literal representations of their cuisine. Lumiere du Butineur (Foragers Light) drew inspiration from world renowned chef Tom Colicchio.
